Based in North East London, Martin introduces a strong photographic element to his paintings which are fundamentally ascetic in nature and inspired by urban and rural scenes .

 

He has always painted in oils and watercolour and his printed images are a combination of both painting and printmaking. Martin is also a member of East London Printmakers and Greenwich Printmakers where he mainly works in photopolymer etching and screen printing.

Having produced a body of painted work Martin's recent move into printmaking came initially as a way of extending the painted images into limited edition prints. Slowly he has been drawn into the potential of printmaking to create new artworks from scratch.
